Pictures from the bike were not taken since it was out of range from spectators and well, I was just too darn fast! I might be getting some more in the next week so I will post them too.

Recovering Clarke on the couch with phone and remotes to preempt having to get up for the rest of the day.

HORRAY! Way to go buddy! Nice pic selection too. I think they give us readers a good idea of your day. What’s the story behind the blood? Anything gnarly (or embarrassing)?

The blood is from when I mounted (attempted to I should say) the bike and slipped off of it. Instead of the foot going in the foot pouch, it missed and the metal pedal raked me. The real beauty is the inner loin bruise from the seat.

Congratulations! I never fail to be impressed… BTW, thought about you this last week… standing in the piazza del campo in Sienna, you were right, it is an incredible place.
